When we decided on a themed Steampunk photo-shoot, we had no idea that it would turn into the epic project that it did. We used a mixture of eBay finds and extreme upcycled pieces you would normally find in your kitchen, made by Shortie Props. He created the gun (complete with green goo!), the hat, the crossbow (fully working) and goggles. Then there was the incredible customised Steampunk bike (one of Mike Hardley’s http://www.creativusimago.com studio props).
There was a lot going on in the studio with pianos, bikes and various others props, but everyone involved in the shoot had a steamtastic day!
The image below, with Nic Button modelling, displays her main outfit for the day, which consisted of just five belts.
The video below shows clips from the team’s preparations before the shoot and various clips during the shoot. We hope you enjoy it. See our article in the Autumn/Winter 2014/15 issue of PHOTOSHOOT Magazine.

Shortie Props made many of our Steampunk props, such as the hat, glasses, bow and arrow, skull hand piece and gun. Below are some behind-the-scenes shoots of the making process.
