Missenden Abbey was buzzing with over 119 excited brides-to-be and their fiancés, who filled their January 2014 Wedding Fair.
The Fair showcased some fantastic ideas to create your perfect day, from LED trees to ice-cream machines. PHOTOSHOOT Weddings went along to support Jessica Louise’s Wedding Show and our own Beauty Editor and resident makeup and stylist, Mandy Elizabeth.

Visitors to the Abbey were met in the entrance lounge with a complimentary glass of Champagne, canapés and a goody bag. Live band Funky Buddha, ‘the ultimate party band’ (www.funkybuddhaband.co.uk), were there to entertain us with a collection of great songs that created a perfect atmosphere.

Missenden Abbey’s dedicated Wedding Planner, Natasha, along with her Marketing team were available to offer tours and information regarding the Abbey’s features and services.
In the entrance lounge was Kate and Julia’s Orchard Dream (www.orcharddream.co.uk), which lit the whole reception with amazing, full-sized, LED Cherry blossom trees that are hired out for weddings and events. PHOTOSHOOT Weddings could not resist having some of the model brides from the show pose for a quick photoshoot with these truly beautiful props.

Vesuvius Chair Cover Hire (www.vesuviuschaircoverhire.com) had a range of accessories and chair coverings in the dining rooms and marquee, ranging from stunning candelabras to vintage props.

The Flower Room (www.flower-room.co.uk), dressed the stairway in the Ceremony/Garden room with a beautiful swag of wedding flowers, along with adorning various tables around the Abbey with gorgeous centre pieces.

Toast Master Jango (www.toastmasterjango.co.uk), who looked rather dashing in his regalia, introduced the Wedding Fashion Show with perfection.

Pretty Perfect Cakes (www.prettyperfectcakes@live.co.uk), had creations for cakes that you never thought possible.
The Wedding Show was held in a stunning Marque, provided by Marpav (www.marpav.co.uk), with Jessica Louise Specialist Occasional Wear (wwwjessicalouise2010@live.co.uk) and Boxmoor Bridal (www.boxmoorbridal.co.uk), showing a wide range of beautiful wedding dresses.

Allerston Taylor & Regency Carriages (www.regencycarriages.co.uk) had a selection of special occasion cars, which were parked at the front of the Abbey and set the scene for the Wedding Fair. Looking incredibly grand, you thought you had just stepped into a Downton Abbey episode.

An ice-cream tub from the Supreme Ice Cream Machine (07914 662598) and then a dip in the Chocolate Lovers Fountain was certainly a great way to finish our day. The variety of fresh fruit and fudge to dip left you wondering which delicious combination to try next.
If that was not enough to quench a sweet tooth, Sweet Adventure (www.sweetadventure.co.uk), a traditional style sweet cart, was full to the brim of your pick-and-mix favourites.
