I had this image in my mind for some time but never quite had the right model or the look I wanted to convey the fun of taking photos. we intentionally did the pout as seen in so many pictures taken by young girls in selfies.

Heavily influenced by my all time obsession with ancient Egypt, and the pyramids, Pharaohs and gods and goddesses, this set was something I have been meaning to shoot with for many years.

I’m Diana Korby, a portrait photographer based in London.
Photography has been a passion of mine for about 8 years. I have always had a particular interest in portraiture focused on children, families, and new married couples recognizing that a whole story can be told through a smile, giggle or glance.
Through my work as a photographer I am always in pursuit of what I call that “special real un-posed moment“. I capture memories that last a lifetime through a blended style of photojournalism, casual portraits. It begins with a belief that because you and your family are unique, you deserve portraits unlike any other.

After multiple re-arrangements me and the wonderful alternative lady that is Halo Haynes ventured into Wollaton Hall. Combined with my camera, halo’s delicate posing and a very tight corset courtesy of Jem Corsets we got some stunningly beautiful images which are light and natural but with a dark element.
I got Halo spinning around, dancing and waving her skirt about to get dramatic yet simple images. We had a crowd gathering to watch the shoot but we expected it when you’re shooting at batman’s mansion which was featured in ”The Dark Knight Rises”

The photo shoot was inspired by famed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier. After looking some of his work, I had to do more research and shoot his style and that is what I did.

I am a part-time fashion and portrait photographer working primarily with up and coming designers, retailers, bloggers and models who have little or no funds for proper photography. I have another profession which pays the bills giving me the freedom to pick and choose.
