A bit about me… I have been professionally modelling for around 5-6 years. I started in the hair modelling industry and it gave me such a confidence boost that I went and entered a competition. I didn’t win but I did come away with an amazing portfolio and that’s how it started. I have been published in various magazines such as Bizarre, Digital Photographer and also the Daily Mirror. I have also been on The Weakest Link, which was amazing! I am now mainly focusing on high-end fashion and creative ideas and I love all concepts that require imagination.

What made you first become a model?
I entered a hair modelling competition in 2008 and went on to do a professional photo-shoot at Fresh studios in Watford. I ended up buying 12 prints and scouted about for websites and got some work from those. I didn’t win the hair competition though, but I have got quite far in modelling.
How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photo-shoot?
I was nervous about how the makeup would look and if they could style my hair right. But it looked amazing and I was so happy.
Who was your role model as a child and how did that help in becoming a model?
My mum is my role model. She has been in Vogue.
What did your parents first think of you being a model and were they supportive?
My mum loves what I do and is always asking about the shoots I am involved in and always asks for pictures.
If you were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead?
I work for the Mail on Sunday newspaper in property media sales, as well as modelling part time at weekends and evenings.
What are your guilty pleasures food wise?
Sweets. I LOVE them.
How do you cope with the pressures of being a model?
I don’t really feel the pressures, as it isn’t my full time job. But when I do shows etc., I get very self-conscious around other beautiful models.
What beauty tips do you swear by?
I don’t use soap or cleansers. I use water and wipes and I hardly ever have spots.
If a young girl or boy wanted to be a model, what would your advice for them be?
Always get references from photographers you are going to work with, especially if you have never spoken or met them before. If you are unsure, take a chaperone. If they don’t allow you to do that, never work with them.
If you could do any photo-shoot in the world, what would it be and where?
I would love to go to South America to work; lots of great locations and fantastic photographers.
What would be your dream photo-shoot?
A shoot with Ricki Hall. He is gorgeous.
What inspires you?
The passion to create something out of nothing and make it look amazing.
How long have you been doing modelling?
6 years.
Who’s your favourite designer?
I don’t really have one. I like the fact you can create a fab outfit out of budget clothing and carry it off as something totally awesome.
What’s your favourite item of clothing?
I love my leather jacket … very alternative and I also love my DMs.
